3 Diamonds Farm is proud to present for a client: My Dream! He is often called McDreamy by his fan club for his stunning good looks and sweetheart personality. Don't let his sun bleaching fool you, Dream is a beautiful rich bay color with two cute white socks. He is by Orb (Malibu Moon) out of Snooze (Forestry) and a lovely 11 year old, 16.0hh, TB gelding.
Dream has the most unique story of any of our sales horses. He raced eleven times on the track and then broke his sesamoid. His wonderful owner did everything right - laying him up and giving him time to heal. Dream was then turned out to pasture for several years, giving him more time to heal (and where he also served as babysitter for our other sales horses). When Dream started showing off in the pasture (trotting and cantering around beautifully), we realized he was sound and that he wanted to do more. Dream was cleared by our vet, who said he is completely healed and to treat him as normal, like any of our other sport horses. He was restarted a few months ago, is completely sound, and going nicely under saddle with three beautiful, quality gaits. While Dream was cleared to jump by our vet, we have opted to keep him as a flatwork only mount. But, his new owner could make a different decision on the jumping and easily do some pole work with him, hop over a log or two while out hacking, or work on staying at the lowest level of eventing (if they so desired).
Dream is really enjoying his new life as a sport horse! He is a very nice mover and will be competitive as a pure dressage horse or as a hunter. He enjoys hacking out and has even hacked up to check the mail at the mailbox. He's had tarps put on him and doesn't mind the hyper barn dogs. Dream has perfect manners in the barn and a kind pet temperament. He is up to date on everything, has no vices, no maintenance, and only wears front shoes with pads. While Dream is a quiet, safe mount, he has a soft feel. Dream would be great for a rider on a tight budget, who doesn't mind some injury history, who wants a ridiculously nice pet type horse to enjoy (whether at home or in the competition ring).
