If you are looking a horse that you can do it all with then Louis is the horse for you. He does eventing, hunter, jumping, dressage, western games, drill team, trail riding, and you can put a beginner on him and do a lunge lesson with. You can ride him over a jumping course or run a barrel pattern then jump on him bareback and go ride around the arena for fun.
Working on jumps courses around 2’6” .80m, free jumped 3’9” 1.20m, and has been xc at 2’6”,
For dressage working on rounding, leg yielding, shoulder-in, lengthening at both trot and canter, counter canter and fly lead changes.
Games he has done polos, barrel, and other games. Working on lead changes.
He lunges in side reins, crosses water, trailers, stands for vet and farrier currently barefoot. Does require shoes for hard riding. Louis can be hot sometimes but he is ridden is a snaffle just needs an intermediate level rider.
He is not a point and shoot horse, but he has a lot of confidence. He just needs a rider that’s ok with taking a joke every once in a while. He learns fast and loves to please, but he can get a bit overwhelmed when he is doing something new. He does not buck or rear. He just shakes his head and gets a little jiggy.
UTD on all shots, dewormer, coggins, feet. He does roar. He came to me with it and he has gotten better with conditioning. It has never affercted his work.
