3 Diamonds Farm is proud to present for a client: Homefortheweekend! Fondly called Homer in the barn, this 10-year-old, 17.1hh, Thoroughbred gelding is now back on the market. He was listed for sale in the spring of 2025, and unfortunately, developed a few health items that resulted in a pause on his advertising. Specifically, he had a few episodes of tying up, which is now confidently managed with a brand new diet. He has almost completed his leg up process. But, his connections would like to sell him to someone who wants to complete that process at a massive discount. That buyer will absolutely get a horse of a lifetime in Homer!

Once his leg up process is complete, Homer's new rider will get an incredibly talented jumper with quality, elegant gaits! Bred in Kentucky, Homer is a striking chestnut with two white socks and a pretty white blaze. He comes from very sporty breeding - Not Bourdon x Unchecked (Unbridled). Homer raced a total of twenty-one times, earning a total of $54,753. Homer last raced in 2020 and has been enjoying his new life as a successful sport horse ever since.

Homer is a very talented training level eventer with lovely gaits for dressage. His best dressage score to date was a 30.0 (70.0%) at a recognized horse trial. Homer has experience through the 1.10m and 1.15m jumpers and will keep moving up the levels in show jumping with ease. He has a confirmed lead change and the scope that any show jumper is hoping to find in their next mount. He is also a lovely dressage horse and could easily have a successful career in pure dressage.

Homer is ever the pro at shows and travels perfectly. Lovely in the barn and in turnout with great ground manners and a pet like temperament. Excellent for the farrier and vet. Update to date on everything. He is a forward thinking jumper though, who knows he is hot stuff, so he can have a look and a spook consistent with a horse of this high quality and talent. However, he is incredibly rideable and adjustable on course and little things that get his attention when not competing, do not bother him on course one bit. He wears four regular shoes and had a touch of maintenance in the past consistent with a horse of this caliber (specifically he had his stifles injected only once). He is also on a daily feedthrough joint supplement. Homer's ideal new rider would be a good riding ammy, teen, or pro looking for a very talented horse on a budget and unafraid of a bit of hard work to bring this horse back up to his full potential.
