Farkleberry Fergus - Young Connemara Event Prospect

Farkleberry Fergus (Blue Rock Fintan x *Gentle Cailin by I Love You Melody) is a 2021 purebred Connemara gelding. This boy is as close to a perfect unicorn as they come: 14.2h, he was started by a young trainer in 2024 and then was taken over and brought along by a 16 year old event rider. Proceeding slowly and correctly, with the assistance of an upper level event rider/trainer, he has excelled. Fergus has attended several clinics and lessons with top rider/trainers including Deb Dean-Smith, Joe Forest and Peter Atkins. He made his eventing debut in 2025, attending two local events where he placed 3rd and then 2nd. He’s currently jumping 2’6” with room to move up. Fergus is incredibly brave and unfazed by most anything: he jumps ditches, goes through water, up and down banks, road hacks, ties to the trailer, self-loads and unloads, trailers off property alone, bathes, fantastic for farrier/vet/dentist, easy keeper, no soundness issues. He’s been used in lessons and at camp with kids as young as 5 and is as safe and trustworthy as they come. More whoa than go, but has a motor if wanted. Fergus would make a fantastic event pony for a child or adult amateur, but could really go any direction. This boy is game for anything you want to try! (Rider is 5’7” for reference).
